Thanks Colin. I understand what you say, most of it, and am pleased to
learn about 'poetry of ideas'. (This piece is very crude and I do not
claim it to be any good. I have in fact jotted it in five minutes and
sent to the 'works'.) However, I agree with you about increasing
interest in evolutionary biology. The names of Julian Huxley and Richard
Dawkins come to mind. The reason for increasing interest in evolutionary
biology might stem from the inadequacy and failure of present day human
'psychology' to fulfill emotional craving of human race. We are
comfortable as far as our material progress is concerned, but are
indifferent to the sufferings and happiness of others. Scientists try
to blame this unending selfishness and hurtful individualism on genetic
material one inherits. So there is a gene for addiction to alcohol, a
gene for jealousy, anger, hate and greed....
A gene for writing good poetry and a gene for bad ones!!!
