-Hi Christina,
So it´s not only Finland that is getting the snow then. I really like this. You´ve selected all the right details from the experience of snowy conditions and presented them in an original way, with a good use of language - natural, without being hackneyed - and very well controlled. I liked the icy lover turned to mush and enjoyed it even more when you developed that image into `slippery sheets´ in the next line. Very sexy snow, and that is a new way of looking at it, I have to say. If there is anything that I would question ( and it is only a question) it would be `amnesic blankets´. I understand exactly what you mean, and snow is like that, but blanket is maybe a bit overused in this context, although you could get away with it here because of the sheets and the snow´s bed activities. `Amnesic´ may be a bit awkward but again I see the problem. No one can use `forgetful snow´ since the Waste Land.
Yes, IMO a very skillful piece.

Best wishes, Mike

        Mr White

I'm clean and unexpected when I come
to brush your hair and settle on your coat,
weaving those criss-cross patterns as I form
amnesic blankets. Touch me and I'll melt -
the icy lover turned to mush - but then
I'll chill in slippery sheets - invisible
under thin layers of myself. And when
you step on me I'll harden. But I'll fall
again, to seep into your shoes and freeze
your toes. I'll bite your fingers too - you'll see -
and then I'll scald your ears and nip your nose
to send you snivelling to the surgery.
Shovel your salt and gravel by the ton -
one slip and I'll be there to snap a bone.
