I agree with you totally about the difference between poetry and prose. I
just recently read some poems that were technically very good, well-crafted,
but they were like a statue. They didn't breath. I think you have really
hit on the difference. The poems (so-called) told too much. They left no
room for my personal involvement, no room for me to think or interpret.
Although they were perfect as a statue, they were still just a perfect
