>Not whole, incomplete.
>I watch you rocking
>Forwards, backwards.
>Disconnected, excommunicated.
>
>
>Lying on the floor, curled around you,
>Looking upwards to catch your eye
>I cannot follow its backwards flight.
>Always, somehow unprepared for your screams.
>
>
>Frozen tears, fragmentary beads
>Stretched out like dew on cobwebs
>Fragile as your mind,
>Are wary of a promised thaw.

>We cannot comfort one another
>You and I
>For we exist in universes
>That only pass or collide.
