Hi, Sarah and welcome. I'm Arthur. Christina and I are moderators which
means we try to see the List runs smoothly.
You are welcome to post. There are certain courtesies.
Try to always send in Plain text.
If your poem contains material or words that might prove offensive recognise
that they might well offend and issue a language warning with the poem.
Try to comment on at least three other poems for every one you post. I
it is a workshop and not necessarily a showcase for polished work so be
prepared to receive advice and criticism as well as give it. It is possible
to do this politely. If you feel advice or criticism has been harsh,
recognise that people have taken time to read and comment and thank them for
that. If you feel the need to come back at someone over their manner or tone
( An extremely unlikely circumstance) then take it back channel. Remember
whatever it only someone else's opinion being voiced and that is all.
The List likes to debate poetry as well as post poetry and there is a chance
to broadcast news of reading and publications that you feel might interest
other subscribers but it is not a chat room.
Light banter is however exchanged occasionally but kept to a minimum.
These are more etiquettes than rules but it does help to recognise them and
abide by them .
Again welcome, Sarah, and we look forward to reading your work. Arthur.
