I like your use of colours to reflect psychic states. Colin
Thanks for the suggestions, Colin. Some taken. Yes, the Cuban thing, but
also Johnson and Nam.

Of course I am going back and forth to Bethesda these days and Washington,
DC, and orange alert saw a huge change at the National Cancer Center. We
have to even get out of the car now so they can scan US before going into
the building....
-Barbara
Barbara, is the Washing Monument covered with duct tape yet? Gray! Comes
from Tom Ridge being chided for jumping the gun, it seems orange was
premature, even though it is being left on. Squashed is right, we did
squash the inventors. The end is only a bit of playfulness, a play on the
alert colors.

I seem to be doing this today to people's poems but this one doesn't grab
me. It's too contrived, to neat and not left to the chance of your own
words. Take it to pieces and start again. You are a better poet than this.
-James
James, I wonder. Yesterday I was searching through the files for
submissions and cringed more than I smiled. Hye, when everything is liked
by everyone, we should quit.

In terms of the poem itself, the middle stanza needs an 'is' in the opening
line I think. - Frank
Frank, done. Even minimalist need the wee words.

And thanks all for the read.
