From the perspective of the protagonist this hasn't happened yet.

it works.
I know there must be something clever going on in the last stanza but I
haven't got it yet. I can't feel how you get from the broken wipers to the
down comforters.
*Actually from geese to comforters filled with down. A bit of a stretch
perhaps.
