I think you can ensure that the proxy is used for HTTP access during
ant-controlled unit testing by inserting the following lines in your
~/.stardev.properties file.
http.proxyHost=whatever
http.proxyPort=whatever
However, if that doesn't work you might need to run ant with
these properties defined on the command line:
ant -Dhttp.proxyHost=whatever -Dhttp.proxyPort=whatever test
We are not required to use proxies here at Bristol so I haven't been
forced to come to terms with this. This message CC'd to the stardev
list since I suspect others (Peter, Norman) have already done this.
Given the aggro this appears to be causing perhaps it would make
sense (for third party testing, as well as ours) to mandate for the
future that ant test targets must not require external network
access? As I say this would require a bit of effort (and/or weakening
of the tests) but could be done.
