All,
Has anyone used the appcert application under Solaris for profiling Solaris
binaries/libraries? Is the output from it of any use?
Steve.

David,
Was it Linux? There is a known problem (no fix) with the shell archives from
the software store under Linux (only happens sometimes), See,

Subject: Failure on installing starjava from software store
Rather an embarassing event just now... A local user here was saying that
he tried to use splat and discovered it wasn't installed. So I helped him
download starjava from the starlink WWW page (which uses the software
store). We got the storeform2ahdlr file downloaded, but then when we did:
% sh storeform2ahdlr
it (eventually) fell over saying:
Unpacking files from the archive.
storeform2ahdlr: xmalloc: cannot allocate 159771855 bytes (0 bytes
allocated)
Not good advertising.
I tried it on my rh7.3 machine and got the same. Does anyone know what is
going on here?
David
