There are too many technical issues to even start. For the default
coregistration of SPM99, the main thing would be to ensure that your images
do not deviate too far from MNI space. You may need to reorient them via the
Display button.
An alternative strategy would be to try the Information Theoretic
coregistration. The one in SPM99 is not as good as the version developed
for SPM2.
