I havent gone to redhat8.0 yet, but I think this problem could be a
symptom of not having the updates installed for SPM99. Also you will
probably need the mexglx files rather than mexlx.

Folks,
Concerning Nader's message...I should also say that we tried compiling
with LESS optimization to see if this would help. However, this did
not
help. We tried this because we noticed that, if we removed some
semi-colons after certain lines in spm_list.m (i.e., to cause matlab
to
print out some variable values), we could get spm_list to proceed
further
than it had before. For instance, if we ran the "stock" version of
spm_list, matlab would barf before printing out the list of
significant
voxels to the graphics window. However, after removing some
semi-colons
at the end of certain lines (e.g., the "varargout" statement
at the end of the code specific to the 'list' case), the graphics
window
would print the list, the console from which we started matlab would
print something like "varargout = {1 x 1 structure}", and then matlab
would barf. Confusing.
Ideas?
Nathan
