I guess from the fMRI point of view everything has been said by the contributors.
Anyway, if you do not like the scaling of the image data (or the gray values shall be identical to those of some unimportant other manufacturer - somehow forgot the name), you may change the scale factor which is applied to the floating point data before it is rounded to integers.
Please open the protocol on the exam-task-card, goto "System" -> "Transmitter/Receiver". You will find the FFT-Scalefactor there.
Of course a too big number may result in cut-offs.
