Hi all,
I would need a little more help with the mechanics of segmenting an image
in SPM. One of the steps attempts to correct for inhomogeneities in the
image. I read the help files and I guess I understand how this step works.
But does anyone have any suggestions as to how to decide (well) how much of
this correction I should ask SPM to perform? Specifically,
(1) Can I make the decision on how much inhomogeneity correction I require
SPM to do based on visual inspection of the image I want to segment?
(2) If the answer is "NO" to (1) then can I perform some automatic test
which will ballpark the amount of inhomogeneity in the image I want to
segment?
(3) If the answers are both "NO" to (1) and (2) then how do I decide after
I segmented the image whether the amount of inhomogeneity correction that I
used was satisfactory (or at all needed for that matter).
Any input is appreciated and thanks in advance,
Zoltan
