Apologies for cross posting

Wednesday 11 June 2003 at the Network Centre in York
10.30 - 16.00,
How do we become better at working strategically?
I am writing to invite you to the above seminar. The suggestion for this seminar arose from a group of educational developers who met in London to benchmark their practice. The outcome of this meeting was a series of case studies on an aspect of their practice that had been successful. These will shortly be available on the Generic Centre website.
I am delighted to say that Professor Gus Pennington will facilitate the event. The style of the workshop will be participative and practice focused. Gus will introduce a number of models and tools for thinking about your Centre's effectiveness and how you might measure impact.
Given the nature and experience of the invited group, the expectation is that there will be plenty of opportunity to discuss and think through some of the implications for your own context. The session will end with an activity encouraging you to develop an action agenda to work on in your own situation.
Places are limited to 20 people and there are just 2/3 places left. The cost of the day is £50. If you would like to attend please complete the enclosed form and return to Annita Hirons at the Network Centre by Friday 6 June 2003.
I hope you will be able to attend the workshop and I look forward to seeing you in June.
Best wishes
Professor Brenda Smith
Head LTSN Generic Centre
