The 2003 Science Communication Conference will take place on Thursday 22 and
Friday 23 May at Savoy Place (Institution of Electrical Engineers).
The Science Communication Conference replaces the former Building Bridges forum.
This year's conference is jointly organised by the BA and the Royal Society
A draft programme is included below. PLEASE NOTE speakers, chairs and session
titles may change.
The aim of the conference is to present a more inclusive look at ways of
communicating science to a variety of audiences by bringing together practitioners
and academics (social scientists and scientists) interested in science communication.
Who should attend?
All those with an interest in science communication, including those working in
research institutions, universities, the media, media liaison, science centres and
science museums, science educators, funding organisations and research charities.
Registration for the two day conference includes refreshments and lunch on both days
plus a drinks reception
Member of the BA £120 +VAT
Non Member £170 + VAT (includes a years memberships of the BA)
Student £35 + VAT (only 10 student places available at this rate)
