Re the Bio-nano meeting - I've asked David Reid to get in touch with you after the BA meeting. Together with Fiona Fox at the SMC I'm trying to take a long-term strategic approach to nano communications, its essential that the current level of unease isn't fanned into something greater and we end up witht he same problems as GM. Be interested to hear the sort of media-worthy things you were considering for this - hope to catch up with you on it soon

Sorry if I've got completely the wrong end of the stick but what do they
propose to film it for? Van der Graaf generators aren't that visually
impressive unless you like to see long hair go up in the air. If they
are after sparks then a high voltage tesla coil or the like would be
much better.
