Who are you calling "mildly lunatic?" is that analogous to "cutely idiotic?" haha
The original post was talking about four lines of Prospero's final speech, in which, yes, the word "mercy" is used! not about THE definitive-quality-of-mercy speech.
Though having read several bad poems on Portia of late, perhaps a change of perspective to some of the lesser known and seldomer considered speeches might be in order.
