yes
i realise that
i think one of the difficulties people have is the degree of cock up
they find computers a bit troublesome and are completely at sea when faced
with the evidence that the suppliers of systems publish, at high price, crap
and then there are the sad people who seek to circulate viruses and hoaxes!
me I'm just reeling from GG's _looting purpose_ posting...

The trouble is that people who don't or haven't worked with these machines
all day can find this stuff unreadable
Which is not to say that you're wrong, just that MSspeak is problematic

There is an important update on Microsoft's Windows Update Site to protect
against this virus. Suggest everyone using Windows updates ALL the critical
updates ASAP. Go to the following URL:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-011.asp
This is not a hoax.
Roger (who works with these machines all day)

I may have generated the wrong tone, Anny
I didn't intend to have ago at you, just to save us all a panic
I guess all I draw attention to is "AOL says..."
It's not what they do; and if they ever did then they'd say more
Cheers

Hi Lawrence,
I also think it is a hoax, and if I am not wrong it circulated some time
ago. Still not knowing what to do, and since it was sent to me by my pc
dealer, programmer and what-have-you, I thought I should send it out.
I also said that I was briefly translating, the first line says:
"This information is coming from Microsoft and Norton."
I am thus pasting the original. (I was advised not to open any .pps files,
and a couple of times they did mess up my pc, and had to shut down, scan,
and this and that.)
