That's the thing, isn't it Mark. I 'discovered' McCahon on my first trip to
NZ, & have always managed to see some of his work on every trip since. But
somehow, this major artist simply hasn't received the response his work
earns out in the big world of international art -- at least so that most of
us would know about it. And his work certainly makes no concessions to an
art world now so tied to popular publicity etc.
Can you provide some publication info on that catalogue...?
