Well my compliments dear Alison,
I finally had some time to go through your Blog and there are some very
interesting points.
Even if, as with all writings, words should be read over again at least a
couple of times. Easier with short poems, more difficult with essays. I am
particularly referring to your 11 parts - "On Lyric", extremely graceful and
complete in your particular analysis.
I copied and pasted the following:
-lyric is the same question as "I am"-
(to which I am commenting, who am I?)
-the felt world of that person is secret-
(I don't know if I would have written something similar, we know that
empathy if processed - the fact that someone knows how to is another
chapter - opens the doors to all perception)
-the I is what a person makes when translated into feeling which is released
from the constraints of exterior gaze-
(will there ever be a freedom from the constraints of exterior gazes?)
hope everybody understands that I am highlighting here the points which did
not find me in unison. As per the others, my undisputed praise.
I also thank you for your comment on Mairead Byrne's collection, I
particularly praise here your choice of: "far too anarchic in its
generousness" to describe her poetry, and I couldn't agree more with you.
Well and a cheers to your husband Daniel Keene and to Alkinos Tsilimidos.
Hope to watch this movie soon.
Great work Alison, my deserved respect
anny
