Jon gave some colourful examples of what would constitute personal
abuse. Here are another couple of candidates:
"John Doe took an exploitative attitude to a salaried position he held,
which involved him doing nothing for anyone but himself."
"John Doe is a plagiarist."
It seems to me that both of the above would be personal abuse if made
about a real person. I'd certainly be much more offended if someone
accused me of plagiarism than I would of being accused of being as ugly
as a pimple on a horny toad's ass, for example.
