I'm shocked at you Trevor, misleading a poor Icelander like that...
You can't believe a word this silvertongued poet says, Árni, he lives
in a parallel universe, like Uqbar or Orbis. I have no idea what a
dashiki is, although I am imagining Mairead in some kind of flame
coloured silk robe, maybe it's a kind of hat? But I do know that a
falafel is a kind of cake made of deep fried chickpeas, eaten with
garlic sauce or tahini and salad in a flat bread, which hails from
Lebanon. Very delicious.

>Both words from the Irish language. 'Falafel' denotes the condition of being
>unsure if you're lying down having just been standing or are still standing
>but about to lie. 'Dashiki' indicates a thing is obsolete, rustic, passay.
>Both terms are in frequent use in Galway.
