Yes, Geoffrey, that was exactly what I'd always thought, but being an
autochthonous creature from England's heartlands I do tend to sometimes
employ eccentric pronunciations, I'm particularly prone to pushing primary
accents to the front of polysyllabics for instance, which is a general
statement, not relevant to the question in hand, so someone put a doubt in
my mind about the way I thought the name is said.
