So long as he settles on the far south, where there is only the University
of Otago, in Dunedin, he can experience a winter worthy of Scotland (where
the first settlers came from), if not Iceland.
The statue of Robert Burns in the central Octagon is always mentioned as
standing with his back to the main church (or is it cathedral?).
