When dave mentioned this on the phone the other night, +I+ was amazed he
hadn't heard of James Baxter. Almost invariably (Baxter is the only
exception I can think of) dave is +much+ better read in contemporary poetry
than me.
Nice for once to have read someone he hadn't. A rare feeling, which I
treasure.
