even rather arbitrary gestures towards inclusiveness seem to consistently map
onto movements towards disinterestedness . . . it works, but it's probably
indicative of the current climate in newsmaking more than anything else? I
can imagine a situation in which so many perspectives and opinions were
brought in that emergent features began to rob the knowledge of its rigour
and fairness.
I really liked it when the BBC news service put on some late night big chunks
of television from other networks. even ABC was a lovely chilling change.
