Well that'll be an original claim to fame, or will it to be not noticed?! Re
Leicester museums I was showing a visitor to this here city to the main one
on New Walk late last year and was aghast to discover that about 80 per cent
of it was shut off due to something or other. I felt deeply embarrassed,
it's no wonder few people visit them. One of the smaller ones has apparently
just had its collection moved to another site but no-one seems to know where
it has gone. Typical.
As for translations, I still recall with amusement the translation you did
of one my poems into Icelandic. the interesting thing was, despite my utter
lack of your language, I could 'recognise' the poem, through the rhythms
etc.

Please do, Dave!
That'll be my claim to East-Midlands fame in future. I know Leicester
museums are fairly safe places, as so few pople visit them. They're just
there in their wonderful selves. At least I kept going back when I was
stationed in that fine needlework city.
