(Though my 8ed Beale is a 2002 one-volume reprint of what was originally the
1970 2-volume edition, so essentially after that, what we're looking at is

And it fucking *doesn't* -- the references to "arse " begin on page 28,
column 2, and take-up about one third of the second column on page 28.
To get to your "two whole columns", you have to go drifty into irrelevancies
like arse-bandits
{which, come to think of it, is interesting as strictly cis-Atlantic -- I
*mean*, can you think of someone saying, "ass bandit"? }
So we're looking at basically at 1/3 of the entry on page 26, column 2,
right?
