Dear Geoffrey,
this is so naive it's impossible! As you well know England has only one
poet. They are elected in a secret ballot by editors and critics who can
afford to pay the prohibitive annual membership. Their tenure is for a
decade. Successors are subject to fierce examination in the media. We'll all
just have to wait until 2010 before we are sanctioned to mention any poet
with another name than the current elect.
I f you are obtaining writing that you might call poetry from an illegal
source i suggest that you bury it in a box on common land
