No, Henry, I'm not trying to wiggle out of anything. I lay claim to what I said, no more and no less, and there's no point in my repeating it here. Furthermore, my post left plenty of room "Which isn't to say that it can't be argued with."
If you want to make a case for a professional examination of Weiss's credentials, whether he is a 'real' professional or not, or think he acted unprofessionally, I would suggest you take it to whatever board handles such reviews of professional behavior in whatever state Weiss happens to live in, rather than arguing that the listowners so function.
I made a comment about this only because it seemed to me that you seemed to be making too much of it. People say "oh you're crazy," "that's insane," "you need to have your head examined," all the time and no one runs to the authorities, even the poetryetc authorities. Your sense of outrage though seems to have been fueled by the fact that since Weiss was a mental health professional, his remarks were doubly onerus, and, then when someone suggests as Randolph did that that could be precisely the basis for such remarks, you find that continues the abuse. Ridiculous, you can't have it both ways.

My complaint was that Mark made an inappropriate ad hominem attack on a
fellow list member, suggesting he was clinically insane. Doubly
inappropriate coming from a professional psychologist.
By pointing to his credentials as a justification that Mark was simply
stating the "facts", you are simply compounding this abuse.
A discussion list is totally inappropriate locus for this kind of personal
abuse. & Mark Weiss has probably acted unprofessionally in doing so, if
he
is indeed a professional.
