I think, as far as saltwater crocodiles are concerned (the ones that
lurk in rivers in the Deep North) it's best not to experiment with
manners. They do occasionally very impolitely eat the occasional
tourist who ignores the signs and goes for a dip. None here in
Victoria, the most serious danger is of freezing to death. But we do
have some poisonous spiders and snakes, just to keep our end up in
the deadly fauna stakes.
