An aside: more or less by accident, my preceding post with this title
associates satire with sexual vitality, and something I might as well have
called "PC attitudes" with a lack of it. Which is of course a dismal cliche.
It's also, as I say, by accident: if I'd chosen an example other than sexual
mores/goatishness to kick off with, the association wouldn't have come to the
fore.
Also, I imagine it's possible to find examples of excellent sexual satire
written by pathological prudes. The more pathological the better. But then it
seems that extreme fastidiousness might be a form of displaced sexual
vitality anyway: perhaps some people are so hyper-sexed, it horrifies them.
