The best thing I have found is "Odaban", a really effective antiperspirant
marketed by Nova 01707 875600.

On the other hand many years ago there was an unusual treatment published in
JAPMA which was (as best I remember) as follows - 20 teabags (standard
Indian tea, although Earl Grey might work and add a piquance!) are soaked
for 30 minutes in 3 pints of boiling water. The feet are soaked in the
solution for 10 minutes and the tannin in the tea (it is assumed) blocks the
sweat glands. The foot is stained brown of course, but the effect lasts up
to 5 days before renewal is needed. The patients to whom I recommended this
approach said that it worked. Until I discovered Odaban it was what I
recommended for hyperidrosis.

Subject: Hyperhidrosis/Bromhidrosis

Greetings Mailbasers,
Was wondering what the best & current treatment stands for very
hyperhidrotic feet especially in workmen e.g. car mechanics who have to wear
safety boots for long hours of the day which leads to macerated skin
accompanied with bromhidrosis.
Would be great to receive your input & views.
Kind regards,
Bharti.
