I need help and I'll be very thankful if you help.
Here is a text:
Sorry I'm so late, Joe.
Oh...and I've brought you a little present.
Not at all. Sarah couldn't come. I'm afraid, but she left a note for me to
give you; shall I read it you?
Dear Jo, sorry about tonight. Hope to see you at my birthday party next
month. Love, Sarah. You've got her address, haven't you? I'll write it down
for you if you like...
What I have to do is to:
- highlight the noticeable words (with a prominent syllable);
- print the prominent syllables in small CAPITAl letters;
- to define the tones (fall or fall-rise);
- underline the tonic syllable;
- to mark the beginning and ends of tone units with two slanting lines (//)
And after that I have to explain what I have done. Please help me. It's very
important for my mark for the exam in English Phonetics and Phonology in a
week. Thank you! :)
