Mark, thanks for SFS.  SFS can be a good analysis tool.  I made the attached 
file of four words, "think,thing,thin,theme".  All dictionaries say that 
"theme" should be the odd word out.  But I predict that "thin" is the odd 
word out.  What would you think?  Look especially at about 1500 Hz.

Perhaps words can be drawn from the sound files of m-w.com so any bias in my 
speech is eliminated.  How about groups like "win,wing,wink,wean"  
"pin,ping,pink,peen"
