CALL FOR PAPERS
MIMAR 2004
THE INSTITUTE OF MATHEMATICS AND ITS APPLICATIONS
5th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON
MODELLING IN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE AND RELIABILITY
"IMPACTING ON PRACTICE"
5-7 April 2004
University of Salford, UK
http://www.ima.org.uk/mathematics/conferences.htm
The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum for discussion
of traditional and innovative modelling approaches to improve the
performance of plant, products and processes. Of particular
interest are contributions to modelling issues in:
* Maintenance (inspection, overhaul, preventive maintenance)
* Fault diagnostics and condition based maintenance
* Reliability
* Risk analysis and risk management
* Reliability-centred-maintenance
* Warranty modelling
* Life-cycle costing and capital replacement
* Logistics in maintenance and reliability
* Human factors assessment
Contributions from both the university sector and from industry are
welcome. The conference will benefit both practitioners and
academics in the field wishing to keep in touch with recent
developments and influence future directions. This conference
follows on from the success of earlier IMA supported conferences
in Modelling in Maintenance and Reliability (Edinburgh, 1992 &
1998; Salford, 1995 & 2001).
All accepted papers received by the appropriate deadline will
appear in the conference proceedings. Papers will also be
considered for publication, if authors so wish, in a special issue of
the "IMA Journal of Management Mathematics". Abstracts and
papers should be sent to the conference chair.
