They did! And most hopsitals have a Tissue Viability Nurse who is the
"expert" on wound care and dressing - a real font of knowledge. Or do
they no longer exist anymore?

Have you tried the British National Formulary for wound care for a list
of all the available dressings etc. Didn't the RCN have a tissue
viability group?

I work at Corus (steelmaking) in Scunthorpe, and we are currently
revising and updating our policies and procedures on wound care and
appropriate dressings. Obviously, we want this to be evidence-based so
that we come in line with best practice (if we are not already!!). I am
having surprising difficulty locating resources and wonder if anyone
could suggest a good starting point for some research. Thanks in
