How quickly does the lab turn around the titre level blood test? Would it be
within 24 hours? Is there any evidence that that is an optimum time post
injury (or a time after which it is too late )for a booster vaccination to
prevent infection?
I don't know the answer to any of these questions myself , it is just that
they jump to my mind.. I recently worked for an NHS Trust where they
continued to vaccinate every 5 years whatever the titre levels...therefore
if there was a needlestick after 5 years, they would vaccinate. Can't say
what the evidence was for this, but will make some enquires next week
