Shirley, I've worked for 2 Trust OH departments and neither have routinely
vaccinated if staff have received a full course and 5year booster of Hep B
in the past. Titre levels of less than 100iu/l, taken at the time of the
needlestick injury, have determined the need for vaccination in both Trusts.
Hope this is of use.

Subject: HepB Booster post Needlestick Injury
I am trying to find out if any NHS OH dept. routinely give Hepatitis B
booster following a needlestick injury to staff who have already had a
course of three and a five year booster. If it is five years post last
booster would you give another following a needle stick injury. If yes,
where did you get the evidence from.
Thanks
