Joseph
Be very careful when taking up degree courses. Last year the Portsmouth
course was not 'adopted' apparently. The problem here is that the NMC are
still deliberating on how to assess occ health nurse training before placing
us on the 3rd part of the register. When I spoke to them a couple of weeks
ago they told me that certain courses would be considered acceptable and
some would not. Further that some courses taken a few years ago might not
qualify.
May I recommend the Robert Gordon University course in Aberdeen? It is an
excellent distance learning course that may be spread over anything from one
to five years depending on the time the student has to spend. Mind you
doing it in one year is probably B----y hard work!
