BAHSHE still exists, though its focus remains mainly on the GP side of
health services in HE. HASNET-OH also still exists but many OH physicians &
nurses felt there was a need for a e-mail discussion group purely for
OccHealth professionals, separate from our safety colleagues. Hence the
HEOPs list was born.
OH colleagues in both the HE and FE sector are welcome to join. The list has
now c.100 members so has reached critical mass to be active and interesting.
We also hold meetings twice per year at different ends of the country. The
next will be in Glasgow around the 1st week in November.
Anyone wishing to join can do so at
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/HEOPS.html. The list is open to OH
professionals working for OH units looking after HE or FE institutions, or
other professionals (e.g. hygienists, researchers) working in these OH
services.
