What an excellent idea. If anyone would be interested in the
possibility of collaborating with Steve Allender's and my national
survey of OH provision in higher education, please do get in touch. We
are half-way through a three-year project.
Best wishes - Kate

Dear All
I'm undertaking an MSc in H&S Management and am now at the stage of
the
dissertation. I've been racking my brains for the last few days to try
and find a
topic that is interesting, motivates me, is something a bit out of the
ordinary and is not something that has been 'done to death' before.
There comes the
problem... what to choose! Generally I would choose something which
would be
relevant to the particular work environment in which I am working (for
my BA,
my dissertation was on eye laser surgery and recruitment to the police
services) but as I am currently working for an OH service provider,
doing adhoc days
here, there and everywhere, the nature of my work does not facilitate
this.
I'm sure there are many others in the same position as myself trying to
think
of a topic for their dissertations. I therefore thought it would be
interesting to see what topics/questions members of this forum feel
have been under
researched or have not been covered in our professional journals etc.
This may
also give the OH&S journal article writers food for thought (I'm sure
they have
people who work for them on this list!) and hopefully future articles
may
reflect some interests that this forum raises.
Regards
Maxine Oliver
