Oh dear! All safety advisers with qualifications. What a wonderful world
that would be. It many of the companies I deal with the safety adviser is
someone who has just been told that this is now their role. Some are now
starting to get some training, but many have had little or no formal
training whatsoever and, particularly in SMEs, health and safety is often a
part time activity for the production manager, maintenance engineer or
whoever is told to do it.
