You can usually do this one of two ways.
1) Contract in an OH nurse from one of the providers of OH services or an
Agency. The providers charge anywhere between £300 and £500 per day as I
believe some of the independent practitioners do. This sounds great but
remember most people of whatever skills who run consultancies aim to work
100 - 120 days per year and have all the overhead costs plus the risk of not
finding work. The Agencies have an hourly rate which for a qualified OH
nurse probably works out a similar cost but others may know more about this.
2) If you employ, you take the annual salary and add approx 40% on costs for
NI, pension if you pay one, car if you provide one for peripatetic roles etc
etc. Most companies will know what their on costs are to reasonable detail.
