Hi Rosie,
Have you spoken to IPS?
I order my pharmaceutical supplies from them, and they have an
authorisation form which is signed by the medical adviser and yourself, for
prescription only medicines. IPS organise it all for you, as it comes under
the Medicines Act 1980. Following this their own Pharmacist signs the form
and this is then kept at IPS all you have to do is post a copy of this
authorisation every time you order. I don't know what systems other people
use, but this seems to work for me.
Please speak to them I am sure they will be able to help you.

I am at present writing my PGDs but am unsure how to go about getting them
signed by a Pharmacist. We use only a few drugs (no immunisations) and
obtain them all through a company called IPS. Is anyone in the same
situation and what is the correct procedure? Can I ask the Pharmacist at
IPS to sign them? Also has anyone got any other information regarding PGDs
and how they relate specifically to Occupational Health. I have some
general information on them including what is provided by the RCN, but as
yet have not seen anything related to OH.
Thank you
Regards
