Subject: DDA
Hi
I was hoping someone could provide me with a second opinion on this?
I have seen a lady under our attendance procedure who has just been
diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. Her symptoms have mainly been
weight gain, facial hair, acne, occasional cramping/spasms and
dysmennhorea. They tried Metformin to reduce her symptoms but the side
effects were too severe. She is awaiting another specialist appointment at
the end of the month. My opinion is that although she has a significant
underlying condition, the DDA doesn't apply as the symptoms (unmedicated)
are not significantly impacting on her day -to day activities. Would you
agree?
