Have you considered the use of the City University Vision screener? This is
a computer programme developed by Professor David Thomson of the department
of Optometry at City University, London. (David has a specific interest in
DSE use as that was the topic of his PhD thesis.)
The programme is operated via the users own DSE and gives an indication of
whether a full assessment needs to be undertaken via an optometrist. It has
the added advantage of also highlighting the ergonomics of the DSE
workstation. The cost is proportionate to the number of users. Further info
is available on this website: www.cityvisual.com web site.
There will be a small number of people who require a referral to an
optometrist or who request it (as is their right under the DSE Regs)
Hope this is helpful
