Why use a mop? There are other methods for cleaning floors that are actually
much more hygienic that the mop. Unless, with a mop, you use a two bucket
technique all you tend to do is spread much of the dirt around.
Ideal would be a small scrubber-drier. For those not familiar with this
technique, the device applies detergent, scrubs the floor and picks up the
detergent and soil, leaving the floor effectively dry and clean. There are
now small models that are suitable for more congested or less accessible
areas.
