Dear Colleagues,
As previously announced, the third Gordon Conference on Photoions,
Photoionization and Photodetachment will be held at the Queen's College,
Oxford, England on 21-26 September 2003. This meeting will cover
fundamentals and applications of photoionization and photodetachment,
ranging from high-laser-field phenomena to the study of biologically
relevant molecules. The detailed program is posted on the Gordon Conference
web-site at http://www.grc.uri.edu/programs/2003/photoion.htm. In addition
to invited talks there will be opportunities for short oral presentations of
poster contributions. Those wishing to present a poster at the conference
should submit an abstract to Bob Continetti ([log in to unmask]) and
indicate whether they wish to give an oral preview.
Registration for the conference is done by the normal Gordon Conference
mechanism through the Gordon Conference website, and involves a two-step
process: application, followed by registration. Please note that there is a
$50 reduction in the conference fee for early registration (at least 3
weeks before the conference - prior to September 1), so we encourage you to
register early. Limited funds are still available to support reduction in
the on-site fee for graduate students. Written requests for such support
from research advisors should be directed to the Chair, John Eland
([log in to unmask]).
We hope you will be able to attend!
Best Regards,
John Eland, Chair
Bob Continetti, Vice-Chair
