Dear All,
I would be interested to hear from anyone who has experience of generating
atoms with either an Evanson microwave cavity or a Surfatron cavity -
especially if you have experience of both.
We aim to gerate atoms (eg H from H2) in a low pressure 2.45 GHz microwave
discharge (low pressure - in the rough range of 1 to 10-2 mTorr/mBar) and
would be grateful of any advice of which cavity is the easier to use/ more
reliable/ gives better yield of atoms/ works better at lower pressures.
best regards,
Tom Field
